All the best pizza dough needs the basic ingredients:  All-purpose white flour (Maida), Dry Yeast, Salt, Sugar and Olive Oil. 

We also make pizza crusts from plain wheat flour(atta) as per customer demand. Many health-enthusiastic people avoid eating all-purpose white flour (Maida)

How ingredients will use in pizza dough recipe

  1. Dry Yeast: Pizza dough recipe with yeast is simple and easy. You can use any brand of good quality yeast. Dry yeast comes in the form of tiny granules.
  2. Lukewarm Water: Don’t put water with your estimation. Always use measuring cups for all ingredients.
  3. Coldwater: ½ cup cold water for kneading the flour mixture.
  4. Flour: Use all-purpose white flour (Maida) for classic pizza crust. Whole wheat flour has more protein as compared to all-purpose white flour. The quality of the flour will affect how much water the flour absorbs.   (I am using organic unbleached all-purpose white flour; you can use 1 cup of all-purpose white flour and 1½ cup of fine wheat flour.)
  5. Oil: Extra virgin oil works best and gives a rich flavor and good folding shape to the dough.
  6. Salt: Salt adds the necessary flavor.
  7. Sugar:  When sugar is combined with a small amount of olive oil, balances the activity of the yeast and tenderizes the dough.
  8. Cornmeal: We will use cornmeal for the dusting, not in the dough. Whole cornmeal gives the pizza crust a little extra flavor and crispness. I have seen most delivery pizzas in the market have cornmeal on the bottom crust.

I use garlic granules and Italian seasoning blend in the dough which is easily available online and in grocery shops. It gives exquisite flavor and aroma while baking the pizza. 

How to Make Quick Pizza Dough Recipe

  • Activate Yeast: Add ¼ tablespoon of dry yeast to lukewarm water with ⅓
  • tablespoon of raw sugar, stir, and set it aside for 10 minutes to activate.

         The mixture must turn to frothy and bubbly. If you fail to get a frothy mixture, don’t add more yeast, just discard this. Please, be sure your yeast is of good quality. Start again with fresh warm water and sugar.

  • Mixing the flour with ingredients: When you get your yeast activated, add 2½ cups (300 grams) of all-purpose white flour, ⅓ tablespoon salt, and 1½ tablespoon olive oil and mix it in a kneading bowl.
  • You will need ½ cup of cold water to knead.

Knead: Knead your mixture with your hand, it feels sticky at first, but after 1-2 rounds of kneading, it will go smoothly and you can make a kind of inward ball shape of the whole dough.

Dough rise to double in size: Now place the dough in a bigger bowl, cover it with an airtight lid, and set aside for at least 90 minutes at room temperature in summer, the time will increase in winter from 2 to 4 hours. You can use this dough for 3 days more by keeping its normal refrigeration and freezer for a longer time.

Punch & give a shape: Softly punch the risen dough to release the air and make balls of 200 grams each for a medium-sized or 10-inch pizza base. Then make round bread with ½ inch thick with the help of cornmeal dust.
